Thanks for joining in on this wild adventure. I want to start things off by saying welcome to Ascent Strength and thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to join in on the action and read what we’re all about here at Ascent.

What is Ascent?

The All Blacks have a saying that better people make better All Blacks.  At Ascent Strength we’re in the business of building better humans. We do this by using the principles found in strength and conditioning to act as a vehicle to drive adaptation both in and out of the gym.

Regardless of whether you’re looking to be fit enough to be the world’s best parent, fit enough for work, or fit enough to succeed at your sport or movement practice of choice, we’ll provide you with the tools that are necessary to increase your performance both in and out of the gym.

Yes, you read that correctly. The tools that we utilize are meant to drive your evolution as a human both in and out of the gym- the world of fitness has been changing for quite some time now and it’s no longer just about the sets and reps or how hard you went in a workout. You see fitness, or being fit isn’t just about the thing (being fit) any more. It’s about the process and the habits that you create along your pursuit of mastery in your chosen discipline.

What’s our mission?

Our mission is to inspire and educate as many people as possible about fitness and to empower them to live stronger healthier lives so that they may explore and experience this world to the fullest all while performing at levels that they never thought imaginable.

Ultimately, our goal is to help you to understand how choosing a movement discipline and striving for some level of mastery in it- i.e. being committed to the process, provides you with the tools to transcend that discipline and impact multiple areas in your life.

What we offer?

We offer individual program design. Some of you might be wondering what that means. Simply put, it means that we aren’t fond of the cookie cutter programs because they don’t provide nearly as much value as a program that is tailored to a specific individual will. We believe that every individual has a specific set of needs and each program should be tailored to fit those specific needs. Said another way, Optimal program design requires individualization. Just like a suit, the best one’s are always custom tailored to fit you…and your goals.Whether you’re looking to take your performance to the next level or expand upon your overall quality of life you need a program that is designed with you in mind. A program that meets you where you are at and evolves as you do.

With that being said, I think it’s important to mention that we’re in this for the long haul together. If you came to this site for a quick fix, a life hack, or a 6 week program, I’m sorry… but you won’t find us pushing a lot of that here. At Ascent Strength we’re all about the journey and raising awareness about what it demands of you. Which means that I have some good news and some bad news for you. The bad news is that the fitness industry has been lying to you. When you subscribe to this pursuit of ‘fitness’ or maximizing your potential you’re signing up for the rest of your life, not for the next six weeks like they would have you believe. The good news is that we’ve got the tools to help you navigate that journey.

We’re here to help you ascend the mountains and obstacles that you set out to conquer. Because our true strength can be found in the act of ascending the mountain, not only reaching the top of it. And as we know, once we make it to the top of one mountain, we can see that there are many more left to climb.

Regardless of where you are, what your current goals looks like, or your limitations, if you’re ready to get stuck in and commit to the journey we’re here for you.

Let’s climb that mountain of yours, together.

Cheers,

Kels
